US Tradelines sells tradelines over the phone and via email from their base in Orlando, Florida

At first, I was unable to find a list of tradelines available for sale, so I called the number on the website. Jay answered the phone (improbably, his LinkedIn page says his name is “Jaybuy Tradelines”), and he referred me to this page that lists five tradelines for sale. He then informed me that only one of those tradelines was actually for sale. When I asked if he had a money-back guarantee if the tradeline didn’t post to my credit report, he said if it didn’t post he would try it again next month.

To say that US Tradelines is sketchy is an understatement. Absolutely nothing about them inspires confidence that their business will do anything other than take your money with no results.

In the first place, they have no information about their business on their website. The “About Us” section is a list of places in the U.S. where you can buy tradelines and seems more like a search engine optimization ploy than information meant to help a consumer.

The site itself looks like it was created to be unreadable. US Tradelines has Twitter and Facebook accounts, but posts appear to happen every three to four months, and as of this writing, neither has had any activity in the six months since October 2019. The information on the social accounts is 100% for marketing purposes, and they show very little community engagement, which is a red flag. Moreover, the website doesn’t allow comments — probably because all comments would be negative.

US Tradelines also offers credit repair services, but with one apparent employee given the difficulty of removing bad items from your credit score, it seems unlikely that you’ll get much credit repair for your money.

None of the principles of the company are listed, and I only found Jay through an hour of internet searches. The fact that Jay answered the phone of his business as “Jay” instead of as US Tradelines makes me think he runs this as a side-hustle, and probably can’t be bothered to do more work than taking my personal information including my credit card number.

US Tradelines Strengths

If this operation does have a strength, it is in convincing people to give them money. There is no proof that the money you give them will result in a better credit score for yourself, and there is no guarantee that they won’t rob you blind in the process.

US Tradelines Areas for Improvement

The first way for US Tradelines to improve would to become a legitimate business. Hire professional website developers and designers to improve your customer outreach, and most importantly, make sure your customers are happy with the work you do to improve their credit. Then show this by allowing them to leave comments on your blog and social media posts.

Is US Tradelines Right for You?

In a word, no. Given the other options out there, there is no reason to trust Jaybuy Tradelines with your sensitive, valuable personal information.

Pros
  • US Tadelines has one tradeline for sale at the time of writing
Cons
  • Extremely limited inventory
  • No guarantees whatsoever
  • The owner, manager and sole employee “Jaybuy Tradelines” does not inspire trust
Overall
1/5

There is no reason to go to US Tradelines for help with your credit score when so many other more reputable tradeline companies exist.

Pricing
1/5

The one tradeline for sale when I enquired over the phone cost $350, but the credit limit was $7,000, which is relatively low — especially for a “seasoned” line that’s 14-years-old. These are not great deals.

Inventory
1/5

Technically, US Tradelines has to get a score in this category because they do have some inventory. But the website only lists five choices, four of which were unavailable at the time of writing.

Customer Experience
1/5

If your idea of good customer service is talking with a guy who might be conducting business in his underwear from a couch in Orlando, Florida, US Tradelines isn’t a complete disaster. On the other hand, if you want reliable information, professionalism and help, look elsewhere.

Trustworthiness
1/5

The fact this business appears to be owned and operated by one individual isn’t a sign they aren’t trustworthy. But that individual purposefully obscuring who they are by giving false names on social media platforms and disabling comments on their website, spamming review sites with fake reviews and either not incorporating the business in their home state or hiding the business in a shell company should make everyone run away as fast as they can. I would never give this man my social security and credit card information — and neither should you.
